Zeiss LSM7 Live Confocal Fluorescence Microscope

The Zeiss LSM 7 Live confocal fluorescence line-scanning microscope is a fast imaging system capable of 120 frames per second at 512 x 512 pixels, which enable analyzing high-speed processes with a time resolution of a few microseconds.

Specifications:

Based on the Zeiss Axio Observer inverted stand, this inverted microscope has the LSM 7 Live Scan head with:

  • 2 linear array detectors
  • Line scanner capable of 512 x 512 pixels images at 120 fps
  • 3 laser lines: 405 nm, 488 nm, and 561 nm
  • Motorized X,Y stage (DC motor OE encoding 130 mm x 100 mm)
  • Motorized Z stage (13 mm, 10 nm step)
  • Z-piezo focus objective collar for fast z-stack acquisition (200 μm range, 15 nm step, 460 xz lines/s)
  • Resolution of ~200 nm lateral and 500 nm in z
  • Phase contrast wide field mode in transmission

Objectives available include:

  • 100x/1.4 oil (∞/0.17)
