Heat Capacity

High-precision microcalorimetry experiments can be performed using the Heat Capacity option of the Quantum Design PPMS Dyancool. Heat capacity of powder and single crystal samples can be measured with 2 nJ/K signal resolution. In conjunction with the He3 option,  measurements can be performed in the temperature range  0.4 K < T < 400K. Measurements in a static applied magnetic fields to H = 90000 Oe are also possible using the automated field calibration function of the software.
