Rajagopal, Manjunath - First Place
Manjunath C. Rajagopal received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Masters in Energy Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. At IIT, he worked on modeling viscoelastic liquids using computational fluid dynamics for tribology studies. He is currently a PhD candidate working with Prof. Sanjiv Sinha at the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. His current research hovers around characterization of 2D thermoelectric materials, and intracellular measurements using micro-and nano-fabricated devices.

Fathi, Parinaz - Second Place
Parinaz completed her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Maryland. She is currently a second-year Bioengineering PhD student working with Dr. Dipanjan Pan in the Laboratory for Materials in Medicine. Parinaz is a recipient of the National Physical Science Consortium Fellowship, and her research focuses on translational applications of biomaterials and nano materials.
