Nanoparticle tracking NS300
The instrument was purchased thanks to the generous financial support from the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust (Grant #23-5673, 10/21/2022).
Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) measures the light scattered by individual particles undergoing Brownian motion in a liquid. The particles are tracked in real time allowing high resolution particle size analysis. In addition, the particles within the cell volume are counted to obtain particle concentration.
The Malvern NanoSight NS300 employs the NTA technique allowing for the analysis of particles up to 1 µm in diameter within a 250 µL cell volume. See below for instrument specifications and accessories.
- Particle size range – 10 nm – 1 µm
- Particle concentration range – 106 – 109 particles/mL
- Temperature range – ambient – 50 °C
- Available laser wavelengths – 405 nm, 488 nm, 532 nm, 642 nm
- Fluorescence detection mode
- Computer controlled fluorescence filters for each laser wavelength
- Flow mode with use of 1 mL syringe pump
